J. Lee Financials Spending Plan

One of the most important parts of your financial journey is making sure you have a firm understanding of where your money is going, that means, creating a budget and sticking to it! This is your season of growth and valuation. To help you get started, I have attached my version of a zero-base budget (but I like to call it a spending plan, because it tells you where you can spend). This budget takes into account all of your income and expenses to give every dollar a name. This means there is no "extra money" all of your money is accounted for, which could mean adding a little more into your savings or taking away from your entertainment to meet the needs of your basic necessities. Don't worry if the first few months you go over budget. The focus of this exercise is to get you on the path of "knowing" where you are spending money and relocate as needed.
